Health & Safety within our organisation
At Elmcrest Diamond Drilling Ltd we pride ourselves on our safety record and employ a market leader (The Health & Safety People Ltd) to organise our training schedules and help us to keep in touch with new legislations.
Together and working as a team we have kept Elmcrest Diamond Drilling Ltd free from any major incidents and will continue to do so.
As well as looking on how to keep our operatives and staff accident or incident free we also take a proactive stance on occupational health occurrences, as the scourge of Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome became more apparent our one of our first steps was to think of how we as a Company can keep our people from coming into contact with machinery which gives off an element of vibration. After some research we came across the Larson Davis HVM100 Tri-axial Vibration Monitor this amazing piece of equipment allows us to keep a check on all new and old plant items on the limitations on each and how long they may be used for. This is just one of a number of things we undertake in our operations here, other health occupational surveillance include FULL medicals, operatives with radiation passes regularly screened even down to annual Flu Inoculations.
As part of our drive for excellence in the safety field we have achieved OHSAS 18001:1999 this is something else we are proud of and we will continue to strive in our efforts in keeping everyone safe at work.
