Wire Saw Technology
Case Study 2
When
you’re asked to form openings in bank vault walls and slabs and you’re
also told noise, dust, fumes and space will all be limited what would you
do.
At
Elmcrest Diamond Drilling Ltd we deployed our Diamond Wire Sawing techniques
to form these openings. One of the first things we did was to identify the
sort of anti bandit reinforcement we were likely to find.
Having
not encountered this kind of anti bandit reinforcing we asked one of our
suppliers to come up with a diamond tipped drill bit capable of cutting
through this.
Once this problem was over come the method was set, drill 52mm diameter
holes in the corners feed diamond wire through these and cut the perimeter.
Once the perimeter had been cut turf it out and break it up using our BROKK
machines.
